Data visualisation of a social network

This is an old post imported from the previous version of this site when it was my personal blog. Some of these posts are in spanish and I never got to translate these posts.

Analizing statistical data to get trends, projections, relations, etc… is interesting and most of the time is better to see a visual representation to comprehend the relationships and get relevant data.

In Visualcomplexity.com I found this image from a study called Data visualisation of a social network made by Felix Heinen as a final project in Information design.


This image shows a perspective of the users geographic location to provide another way to see information instead of a plain database listing.

En Visualcomplexity tambien puedes encontrar mas imagenes de este tipo, como un diagrama de la relaciones entre temas en Wikipedia, la fuerza de las naciones, relaciones en la “blogosfera”, un mapa de la Fisiologia Humana, etc… Por lo que si te gusta el tema puedes pasarte horas en cada uno de los sitios a los que enlaza Visualcomplexity.
